Silktails Player Watisoni Waqanisaravi has been named in the Fiji Bati Squad for the 2023 Pacific Bowl Final, as the Bati prepares to face off again with the PNG Kumuls this afternoon at Santos National Football Stadium, in Port Moresby.
Kaiviti Silktails Chairman, 2013 Bati Captain, and record holder for most international matches for Australia of any forward in history – Petero Civoniceva, had some words of encouragement and advice for the 20-year-old Rookie Prop.
“Wishing you all the very best Sonny. We are so proud of you! You have achieved so much so far – tomorrow is another step in your journey” said Civonicea to Waqanisaravi.
“There is no greater honour than playing for your country and wearing the Bati jersey! Embrace this opportunity by playing your best football. In attack – be aggressive in your carries, find your front with quick plays with the ball, and in defence – great line speed, heavy in contact, and never stop moving to make the tackle. Do your job for the team! Enjoy the moment! Do your family and Fiji proud!”
“Toso Viti Toso!”
